Paul Gill is a lawyer in our Calgary office with a focus on corporate law and residential and commercial real estate law.
Paul assists clients in the negotiation and drafting of corporate and commercial agreements and provides clients with day-to-day governance and compliance advice. Paul has valuable experience in both corporate and real estate law, including:
- Setting up new corporations
- Share sales and purchases
- Asset sales and purchases
- Corporate reorganizations
- Residential real estate transactions
- Commercial real estate transactions
- Commercial leasing
- Representing borrowers in debt financing matters, and
- Reviewing and drafting bylaws for residential associations and condominium corporations.
Prior to attending law school, Paul obtained his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and worked for the Canada Revenue Agency as an auditor in the Income Tax Division.
While attending law school at Thompson Rivers University (TRU), Paul was awarded the Dean’s course prize in administrative law. He gained his first legal work experience as a summer student with Field Law in 2019. Paul joined Field Law as an articling student in June 2021 and was called to the Alberta Bar in August 2022.
Outside the Office
During his free time, Paul enjoys spending time with his English bulldog (Kobe). He also loves to travel and explore new restaurants or soak up the sun on a patio trying the latest craft beers.
