  • Corporate Services Support Clerk - Calgary

    • Our Calgary office is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Services Clerk. This integral position reports directly to the Team Lead, Corporate Services, and plays a critical role in supporting all administrative functions within the department to ensure its smooth operation, while also assisting with the execution of annual compliance processes for our diverse corporate client base.

      Duties + Responsibilities

      • Opening and closing corporate files in accordance with internal processes.
      • Sending out virtual minute books.
      • Maintaining and organizing virtual minute book filing to ensure records are complete and up to date.
      • Assisting with the filing of annual returns on CORES, as needed.
      • Assisting with other CORES Level 1 filings, as needed.
      • Processing updates in corporate database.
      • Monitoring and managing general department email account.
      • Handling all registered mail received by the department.
      • Forwarding weekly charges to accounting for various department accounts.
      • Performing follow-ups on outstanding annual compliance matters.
      • Conducting 60-day and end-of-month strike warning follow-ups.

      Qualifications + Skills

      • Legal Assistant/Paralegal Diploma or related education.
      • Experience working in a law firm or a similar professional setting.
      • Experience working in the corporate law area and on annual compliance matters.
      • Working knowledge of ALF.
      • Advanced computer skills.

  • Technical Analyst  - Calgary

    • Our Calgary office has an opening for a Technical Analyst to join our IT Operations Team.

      Reporting to the Manager of IT Operations, the Technical Analyst serves as the single point of contact for Fielders needing technical support. This role requires a passionate, customer-focused individual who troubleshoots issues and understands their impact on business operations. By identifying root causes, the Technical Analyst ensures timely resolutions by directly solving the issue or effectively triaging it to the right team with the necessary information.

      Beyond reactive support, this role is critical to ensuring seamless IT operations by providing proactive maintenance, driving efficiencies, and enhancing security. The Technical Analyst takes ownership of process improvements and works to optimize Field Law’s technology landscape.

      Duties + Responsibilities

      Technical Support & Troubleshooting

      • Serve as the first point of contact for IT support, resolving software, hardware, and network issues efficiently.
      • Take full ownership of troubleshooting incidents, ensuring end-to-end resolution rather than temporary fixes.
      • Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, resolutions, and process improvements.

  • Legal Assistant, Wills, Estates + Trusts - Calgary

  • Paralegal, Corporate Services - Yellowknife

    • Our Yellowknife office is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join the Corporate Services Department, working out of Edmonton or Calgary in support of our Yellowknife office. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Services, this role involves collaborating closely with lawyers and corporate services professionals across the firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently managing a broad range of corporate transactions across the Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut, including general searches and registration services, incorporations, share structure amendments, share issuances, transfers and redemptions, amalgamations, extra-territorial registrations, director and officer changes, and the preparation of related searches and reports.

      Duties + Responsibilities

      • Manage the incorporation and organization of territorial and federal corporations, including societies and not-for-profit entities.
      • Act as a key resource to lawyers on corporate transactions, including amalgamations, plans of arrangement, reorganizations, continuances, and corporate amendments.
      • Oversee and coordinate extra-territorial registrations in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon, and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
      • Registration of Limited Partnerships, both domestic and extra-territorial, including ongoing filings and structural changes.
      • Prepare, review, and approve dividend resolutions and other corporate authorizing documents, exercising sound judgment and attention to corporate governance requirements.
      • Conduct comprehensive minute book reviews, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
      • Maintain oversight of corporate records by managing entries into corporate databases and document management systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
      • Work independently with minimal supervision while also providing mentorship, guidance, and quality control support within a team environment.

      Qualifications + Skills

      • Completion of a paralegal diploma or certificate with a minimum 5 years’ experience as a corporate paralegal
      • Experience in all aspects of Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon and Federal corporate work is required, Alberta CORES III work and accreditation is an asset.
      • Exceptional accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail while managing high volumes of work and complex, deadline-driven matters
      • Ability to prioritize and coordinate activities in a timely manner
      • Familiarity with a corporate database such as ALF is an asset
