It has been over a year since Canada legalized cannabis.  Although individuals could make cannabis food and drink for personal use under the legislation, such products were initially not able to be produced or sold commercially.  As of October 17, 2019, cannabis edibles are legal and are expected to be on the shelves soon.  Christin Elawny and Steve Eichler of Field Law provides an update on the impact legalized cannabis has had on health and safety in the workplace so far and a discussion of any additional issues raised by the legalization of cannabis edibles.
