Ian is an intellectual property (IP) lawyer, Canadian patent agent, and US patent agent for Canadian citizens and residents. He works with inventors, artists, and entrepreneurs to secure, leverage, and defend their IP rights.
Known for his practical, evidence-based approach, Ian helps clients navigate complex legal, technical, business, and regulatory challenges — serving as a bridge between subject-matter experts, business leaders, and the justice system to help clients achieve their goals.
Born and raised in Lethbridge, Ian is proud to advocate for his hometown at a provincial, national, and international level through his practice at Field Law.
