Let's Talk About the Charter

Join Field Law’s Professional Regulatory Group and your professional regulatory colleagues for our first roundtable of the year.

This session will focus on the intersection of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and professional regulation, including discussing the main Charter rights that may be raised within this context and the situations in which they apply. Some topics that we will cover include:

  • The Doré analysis
  • Freedom of expression

  • Right to counsel and self-incrimination
  • Equality rights
