Team Member Fallback

Michael Debinski is an articling student who chose to pursue a career in law out of a passion for using research to help others. Before joining the firm, he built a solid foundation through policy work with Indigenous Services Canada and research experience at the Alberta Investment Management Corporation.

A lifelong Edmontonian, Michael is proud to call the city home and is deeply interested in how the law impacts the local community. He stays engaged outside of work through volunteerism and mentorship, believing in the importance of giving back. During law school, Michael and his partner won the Morrison LLP Family Law Moot, a competition that emphasized effective communication and oral advocacy in the context of children’s rights.

Michael approaches his work with thoughtfulness and a client-focused mindset, drawing on both academic and practical experience. He looks forward to growing as a legal professional while contributing meaningfully to the community he has always called home.
