Don Blackett, KC

Don Blackett, KC, is Counsel in Field Law's Business Law Group in Canmore. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, business transactions and real estate law.

Don's legal career spans decades of experience across multiple disciplines and international jurisdictions. He is known for providing practical, timely and cost-effective legal solutions.

A born-and-raised Calgarian, Don has had a lifelong connection to the Rocky Mountains. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta, he was part of the inaugural graduating class of the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in 1979.

In 2014, Don moved to Canmore to pursue his passion for living and working in the mountains. He established Blackett Law, which grew from a sole proprietorship into a corporate, commercial and real estate firm serving clients in Canmore, Banff and the surrounding area.
