Don Blackett, KC

Don Blackett, KC is a corporate, commercial, and real estate lawyer in our Canmore office. A born-and-raised Calgarian, Don’s connection to the Rocky Mountains has been lifelong. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta, Don was part of the inaugural graduating class of the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in 1979.

Don’s legal career spans decades of diverse experience, where his practice has taken him across multiple disciplines and international jurisdictions.

In 2014, Don made the move to Canmore to pursue his passion for living and working in the mountains. He established Blackett Law which grew from a sole proprietorship into a thriving corporate, commercial, and real estate firm serving clients in Canmore, Banff, and surrounding areas. Don is known for providing practical, timely, and cost-effective legal solutions to the local community.
