Dan Carroll
Dan Carroll, KC, is Counsel in Field Law's Litigation Group and an accomplished trial lawyer with more than 40 years of experience. He advises and represents individuals, and small, mid-sized, and international businesses in complex civil litigation matters before trial and appellate courts.

Dan has served as lead counsel in a broad range of litigation matters, including personal injury, subrogated insurance, commercial disputes, Residential School abuse claims, construction disputes, media and internet defamation, bankruptcy and insolvency, municipal tax appeals and legal malpractice defence. He is also frequently called upon by clients and other lawyers to provide in-depth case analysis and develop effective litigation strategies before matters proceed.

In addition to his litigation practice, Dan helps parties resolve disputes through alternative dispute resolution. He serves as mediation counsel in complex cases involving significant liability exposure and other issues that can make settlement difficult. He has completed mediation courses through the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society and has served as a volunteer mediator for the Better Business Bureau. Dan also acts as arbitration counsel for parties seeking an efficient and cost-effective alternative to litigation.
