William (Will) McClary joined Field Law as a lawyer in our Litigation and Insurance group.

Will’s practice encompasses all aspects of corporate, commercial, civil and regulatory litigation. He strategically guides and counsels clients through some of the most complex litigation processes and offers a unique perspective that he gained from his experience clerking at the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, under the supervision of The Honourable Mr. Justice G.H. Poelman.

Before pursuing law school, Will was a consulting engineer, where he focused primarily in the energy industry. During law school, he completed summer work terms at a large international firm, where he went on to complete his articles, as well as the Office of Consumer Affairs in the Department of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (formerly Industry Canada) in Ottawa.

Value to Clients

"My favourite part of my job is gaining an understanding of what is important to my clients, and using that knowledge to more effectively resolve their disputes."

Outside the Office

To complement his professional life, Will is an avid volunteer and with the Calgary Stampede, as well as with youth speech and debate.
