Trevor Batty

Trevor Batty is a Calgary-based Partner whose practice focuses on corporate insolvency, restructuring and enforcement matters. He acts for a broad range of clients across Alberta, including debtors, chartered banks, other secured creditors and court-appointed officers in insolvency proceedings.

Trevor advises his clients on all aspects of restructuring and insolvency matters, including:

• Receiverships
• Bankruptcies
• Foreclosures
• Bankruptcy proposals
• Proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA)

Trevor has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta and is a strong advocate for his clients. He brings a practical and results-focused approach to assisting clients through complex disputes from the initial stages of a matter through trial and appeal.

After obtaining his law degree, Trevor completed a joint clerkship with the Alberta Court of Appeal and the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, where he developed a passion for commercial litigation.
