Pooja Chugh joined Field Law as an articling student in the Yellowknife office in 2019, after completing her LL.B from the University of Sussex and obtaining her National Committee on Accreditation certificate.
Prior to law school, Pooja achieved her Bachelor of Science in Life Science (Neuroscience) from the University of Toronto. Upon completion of her studies, Pooja worked for the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority as a Project Officer for quality care and assurance initiatives and assisted in writing new medical staff by-laws and rules.
Pooja believes in working to better the community. Embodying this philosophy, she became Vice-President of the Yellowknife Association for Community Living and also volunteers with Special Olympics NWT.
Outside the Office
Growing up and throughout University, Pooja was an avid squash, tennis, and badminton player, competing at prestigious tournaments at both National and International levels. Today, she continues to share her passion for health and wellness as a Fitness Instructor and Nutrition Therapist. Pooja also enjoys travelling, experiencing different cultures and learning new languages. She is fluent in both written and oral French and also speaks Hindi.
