  • Creating and reviewing privacy policies
  • Drafting and advising on and privacy law implications under for-profit and non-profit organizations

  • Drafting and advising on limited partnership agreements and unit purchase agreements
  • Drafting and advising on joint venture agreements
  • Advising on franchise agreements in both the private sector and public sector franchises pursuant to the Municipal Government Act (Alberta)

Real Estate, Land Development and Construction:

  • Drafting and facilitating real estate transactions valued at over $1M
  • Advising on subdivision and development approvals and agreements

  • Advising on environmental statutes and regulations, including matters under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (Alberta), Migratory Birds Convention Act (Canada), Waste Control Regulation (Alberta), Fisheries Act (Canada), Water Act (Alberta), and the Agricultural Pests Act (Alberta)

Energy and Utilities Regulation:

  • Drafting and reviewing facility applications and regulated rate applications to the Alberta Utilities Commission
  • Oral and written advocacy before the Alberta Utilities Commission
  • Drafting and negotiating franchise agreements for municipal public utilities
  • Drafting and enforcing utility services agreements
  • Crossing agreements and easements
