Michelle Pilz is a civil litigator in our Calgary office with a focus on health law. She advocates for health care providers and their staff in a range of complex legal matters, including medical malpractice and negligence claims, as well as proceedings involving professional regulatory bodies.
Michelle’s practice also includes representing clients in civil sexual assault matters and contributing to the defence of class actions. She brings a thoughtful and measured approach to challenging cases, aiming to support her clients through sensitive and high-stakes disputes with clarity and care.
Value to Clients
"I value turning complex legal issues into clear, practical solutions that protect my clients’ interests. I also make it a point to ensure my clients understand the legal process they are engaged in, whether it is a disciplinary complaint or civil litigation, so that they feel fully prepared and supported throughout the legal process."
Outside the Office
Michelle is an avid yogi and accidental boy mum. When she is not doing sun salutations, she is negotiating peace treaties over who looked out whose car window (apparently this is forbidden). In her “spare” time, she loves reading, wine and travelling anywhere that does not involve sleeping in a tent.
