Josette McEachern is a library services professional, skilled in legal research and training as well as legal resource management and cost control having worked in a national and regional law firm library; she has a combined experience of nearly 30 years.
Josette is Field Law’s Library Manager and oversees all aspects of her team’s services from providing reference support to lawyers and support staff in our Calgary, Edmonton and Yellowknife offices, to offering research and resource training to students and new lawyers, to library strategic planning and resource management. Field Law offers a wide variety of print and electronic resources and Josette continually strives to deliver the greatest research advantages delivered with careful cost control measures.
Josette is an active member of the Canadian Association of Law Libraries and recently Co-Chaired their very successful annual conference. She has worked with legal publishers as part of CALL’s Vendor Liaison Committee and provides resource feedback to vendors when called upon. She is also an member of the Edmonton Law Libraries Association and has often participated in ELLA’s HeadStart training program for articling students.
Outside the Office
Josette enjoys spending time with her husband and Australian Shepherd, “Boomer” as well as reading, greenhouse gardening (amazing cucumbers!), sewing and camping.
