Is Someone at the Door? Practice Visits, Inspections + Reviews
Professional Regulatory Roundtable Series
April 10, 2019
Join the Field Law Professional Regulatory Group and your professional regulatory colleagues for another lunch time roundtable. This roundtable will assist regulators and their staff who use practice visits, inspections or reviews to monitor competency in the practice of the profession. Many professional regulatory statutes empower regulators to use these tools. Few statutes provide much guidance about when to use them, how to use them or how to measure success.
At this roundtable a panel of regulators will share their experiences with practice visits, inspections and reviews. Topics to be discussed include:
Why are practice visits, inspections and reviews important regulatory tools?
Types of practice visits, inspections and reviews
Designing a practice visit, inspection or review program and selecting individuals or group practices for review
Challenges in implementing practice visits, inspections and reviews
Measuring success: how do we know if a practice visit, inspection or review program is working?
Date: Wednesday, April 10
Time: Noon – 2:00 PM
Location: Field Law Edmonton (2500 - 10175 101 ST)
Lunch and registration will begin at 11:30 AM.
