Jane Freeman is a partner and trial lawyer in the firm’s Insurance and Litigation practice groups focused on a broad range of complex litigation matters before courts throughout Alberta. She defends claims for insurers and represents both beneficiaries and executors with respect to wills and estates litigation matters.
Jane’s insurance practice includes disputes covered by property, casualty, commercial general liability, and professional liability errors and omissions policies.
Jane also represents clients on both sides of the aisle in a wide variety of other disputes, such as commercial real estate litigation and estate litigation.
Value to Clients
Whether her client is an insurer involved in a significant personal injury claim or a beneficiary under a will seeking to protect his or her rights, Jane’s approach is consistent and equally impactful. She focuses on the client’s big picture goals to secure favorable, cost-efficient outcomes. She also excels at managing the people and emotions that can influence decision-making on both sides of a case. While she takes every opportunity to resolve a case without prolonged, risky litigation, she is also fully prepared to protect her clients’ best interests in court when necessary.
Outside the Office
Jane can usually be found at the hockey rink with her young children. She is a karaoke and musical theatre enthusiast.
