Helping Neighbours

With support from the Field Law Community Fund Program, the Old Strathcona Youth Society was able to purchase essential outdoor maintenance equipment and weather-appropriate clothing, positioning the organization to safely and effectively carry out planned neighbor-support activities in its new location. With this equipment now in place, OSYS is prepared to engage youth in seasonal outreach activities such as snow shoveling in the winter and lawn care in the warmer months, supporting a positive introduction to the surrounding community.

 The availability of high-quality tools and proper winter clothing ensures that youth will be able to participate safely and with dignity. OSYS-branded clothing will allow residents to easily identify participating youth as members of the organization, encouraging friendly interaction, and laying the foundation for long-term community trust, visibility, and stability.
