The Idea
Women's Wellness Support Group
is a free, community-based counselling and education program that will be delivered monthly at a community hall in Calgary and facilitated by a registered therapist. The program will provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for women to connect, learn, and build resilience while addressing common life challenges and barriers to well-being.
Monthly sessions will focus on topics such as grief and loss, financial management, mental health, stress reduction, self-care, healthy relationships, parenting, emotional resilience, and personal growth. Participants will receive professional guidance, practical coping strategies, and opportunities for peer support, helping to reduce isolation and strengthen social connections.
By removing financial barriers and offering no-cost access to mental health and wellness programming, the initiative aims to improve emotional well-being, enhance participants' confidence and capacity to navigate challenges, and foster a stronger sense of belonging. The program will contribute to a healthier, more connected community by empowering women with the knowledge, skills, and support networks needed to thrive and positively impact their families and the broader community.
