Designing & Building Adaptive Equipment for Children with Disabilities

The Idea
The Ability Workshop Society is a totally volunteer run organization that designs and builds innovative equipment /devices for all those living with a disability. We are a group of around forty passionate volunteers with skills in woodworking, electronics, machining, welding, handyman skills etc. We have made many pieces of equipment for schools e.g. switch adapted pourer, switch adapted art spinner, sensory boards, activity boards, interactive indigenous learning centre, adapted musical instruments, etc. Equipment is specifically designed for accessibility. We do not charge for labour, only cost is for any materials purchased.
Many of the schools have expressed a wish for specialized equipment to use in their classrooms but do not have funds.
We would like to make their wishes come true!
We would like to set up a fund to cover the cost of projects requested from schools.
