Steve has a practice emphasizing employment and administrative law, with a particular focus on occupational health and safety defence and compliance issues, wrongful dismissal and related criminal matters. He has represented clients at all levels of court in Alberta, at the Federal court and also at the Supreme Court of Canada. Steve is a frequent presenter in Alberta and also nationally on OHS issues. He also has a keen interest in sports and entertainment law. He has acted for a major provincial sports regulatory body, professional entertainers, amateur sports teams, as well as record companies, radio stations and filmmakers.

Steve articled with the Court of Appeal and Court of Queen’s Bench and practiced criminal and family law in Yellowknife before returning to Calgary to join Field.
