Zachary Gee joined Field Law as an articling student in June 2022.
Since law touches every aspect of life and society, law school seemed like the natural fit for a career that tied his business degree and politics/government work experience together to help clients problem solve and navigate all the rules and regulations.
Prior to joining the firm, Zachary completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta, earning his Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction in 2019. During his undergraduate summers, he worked in Ottawa at the Parliament of Canada and the Department of Global Affairs as a summer intern. In 2022, Zachary graduated from the University of Alberta with a Juris Doctor (J.D.).
In the course of his law degree, he competed in two moot court competitions: the Adam F. Fanaki Competition Law Moot in 2021 and the Donald H. Bowman National Taxation Law Moot in 2022. Throughout law school Zachary participated in Student Legal Services' Civil and Family Law project, served as a student representative on the faculty's Recruitment Committee, and wrote articles for the law school newspaper Canons of Construction. He also worked as a summer student researcher for the Centre for Constitutional Studies in 2021.
Value to Clients
Zachary brings to his clients his ability to listen, emphasize, break down the issues, and then meticulously problem solve step by step.
Outside the Office
In his spare time, Zachary is usually volunteering on some sort of federal, municipal, or provincial political campaign or pursuing his interest in aviation by learning to fly while virtually exploring a 1:1 accurately rendered virtual world in Microsoft Flight Simulator. He also enjoys building and painting scale model kits of classic cars, boats, and aircraft. He has formal musical training in piano and alto saxophone and enjoys learning about world history.
