Shelli Mooney has been working at Field Law since February 1997. Shelli started out as a legal assistant before leaving the firm in 2004 to start her own business. During that time Shelli continued to work with Field Law as a Collections Paralegal on a contract basis.

In May 2006, Shelli returned to Field full-time, working as a legal assistant in the insurance defence and general litigation department. Thereafter, Shelli continued to gain experience in the foreclosures department and real estate department, where she assisted with conveyancing, including working with residential developers to facilitate lot transfers and payouts to residential home builders in Calgary, Chestermere and Edmonton. In September 2017, Shelli returned to the Foreclosure and Collections Department where she remains today.

Value to Clients

“My goal is to provide detailed procedures and policies for Foreclosure and Collections in Alberta. Our clients deal with a variety of provinces which have different procedures that have to be adhered to. By providing clients with detailed explanations, it allows them to make decisions that are in the best interests of their companies.”

Outside the Office

Born and raised in Alberta, and having a grandfather who competed in the Calgary Stampede Rodeo and as an out-rider for the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association, Shelli’s passion is deeply rooted in the rodeo scene.

Shelli also loves to play golf. As summers in Alberta are short, Shelli likes to travel to hotter climates and will frequently be found in Mexico golfing in the winter months.
