Shad Turner is a litigation lawyer helping individuals and businesses in the Northwest Territories and Alberta. Shad’s practice includes resolving disputes arising out of wills and estate administration, employee terminations, human rights complaints, services to small business, and appearances before administrative boards and tribunals.

Shad graduated with distinction from law school. While in school, Shad was the Co-Editor in Chief of the Alberta Law Review, volunteered with Student Legal Services, and was a research assistant with the Centre for Constitutional Studies. Prior to law school, Shad worked in Yellowknife in the public service as a senior advisor to deputy ministers, as a human resources manager, a labour relations advisor, and an information and privacy advisor.  

Outside the Office

Shad has been involved in the performing arts communities in Yellowknife and Edmonton since 2003. He has entertained and enriched audiences as a choir director, a musical theatre performer, a chamber choir singer, and a featured soloist in community recitals.
