Regan Christensen is a lawyer in our Calgary office who focuses on commercial litigation, debt collection, alternative dispute resolution, and corporate bankruptcies and restructurings.
Regan is a skilled negotiator and courtroom advocate who has successfully represented clients ranging from major financial institutions to small and medium-sized businesses in both trial and appellate-level court. Before relocating to Alberta, he spent six years as a lawyer in Ontario.
In addition to his legal training and business management experience, Regan regularly draws upon the knowledge he gained as a Gold Medalist at Western University’s Ivey School of Business. He enjoys working with business clients of all sizes to develop creative, pragmatic solutions to their legal challenges.
While in law school, Regan competed in numerous advocacy competitions, including the prestigious Wilson Moot. Representing Western Law, he appeared before Justices of the Ontario and Saskatchewan Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. He was named that year’s “Top Oralist” for achieving the highest individual score amongst competitors from law schools nationwide. Regan has carried that same talent and passion for advocacy into serving his clients today.
Value to Clients
“Whether you’re an entrepreneur building a promising new business or an executive leading an established corporation, no one sets out hoping to get into a major business dispute or to wrestle with an insolvency. There are few things more time-consuming, stressful, or distracting from your goals.
“When disputes arise, you deserve a trusted advisor who gets where you are coming from, can help you quickly understand your options, and who can persuasively advocate on your behalf. My job is to turn overwhelming and complex situations into clear and actionable next steps, empowering you to efficiently and creatively resolve disputes, using the formal legal process where necessary. My dispute resolution skills help you get back to focusing on what you actually want to be doing, which is running a successful business.”
Outside the Office
When not at work, Regan can usually be found with his amazing wife and four children enjoying the outdoors, movie nights, board games, or Sunday dinners with family and friends. He has tried to do his part to give back to the community by serving in his church, on his children’s school council, and on other volunteer boards.
