Prior to joining Field Law, Marleea received a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Calgary before pursuing her law degree. While completing law school at the University of Calgary, Marleea was actively involved in extracurricular activities both within the faculty and in her community.

As a law student Marleea volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada's Dare to Dream program and ultimately became the program coordinator for the Indigenous Youth Outreach Program with Level Justice. These programs work with Indigenous youth and volunteer lawyers by facilitating justice-based activities in a culturally empowering way.  Marleea’s diverse cultural background as a member of the Metis Nation Region 3 brings a unique perspective to her problem solving abilities and she continues to learn more about her culture as she develops as a lawyer.

Marleea also enjoyed being an executive member of the Student Ambassador program where she assisted prospective students to learn about being a law student at the University of Calgary Faculty of Law. Throughout law school Marleea volunteered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Alberta to grant wishes to children with life threatening illnesses. She continues to volunteer with this organization since completing her degree.

Outside the Office

In her spare time Marleea enjoys playing soccer and golf, going skiing, and trying new restaurants in Calgary.
