Lana Wallace has over 28 years of experience in the legal field. She joined Field Law in 2011, focusing on the area of litigation.
Lana has worked as a legal assistant in criminal, family, medical malpractice, and insurance defence law. In her experience as a litigation paralegal, she focuses on drafting any and all pleadings, reviewing client materials to determine relevance/privilege for document production, reviewing medical, income and employment information to prepare chronologies, as well as preparing correspondence with respect to undertakings given at questionings.
Lana has discovered in her last few years working as a paralegal, just how important it is to continue to learn and grow. She firmly believes that the more you are willing to learn, the more of an asset you become to the firm and clients.
Value to Clients
"I have developed great relationships with Field’s insurance clients as I was the go-to person for many adjusters providing new files or requesting updates on files as legal assistant to their contact partner. I am always willing to take on new things and have developed great relationships with many of the lawyers in our firm.
During Covid, I have met with numerous firm clients to commission their Affidavits over Zoom or Teams. In doing so, I have met some amazing people and made them feel at ease with this part of their legal journey. I am one of the few who truly enjoys preparing treatment and income/employment chronologies."
Outside the Office
I love to travel, going anywhere warm. I volunteer at the Calgary Food Bank and was a volunteer Youth Justice member. I am a member of the United Way Committee as well was a SAIT PAC Advisory Board Member.
I am always on the go. I spend most of my free time hiking and walking with my three dogs. The remainder of any free time I have is spent with my family which consists of two children, three grandchildren and a husband.
