Kendra Heinz joined Field Law as a summer student in 2015 and returned as an articling student before being called to the bar in 2018. Prior to joining the firm, Kendra graduated from Ottawa’s Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology where she was awarded with a Senate Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. In April 2017 Kendra completed a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary.
During law school, Kendra volunteered with the University of Calgary’s Student Legal Assistance. As a caseworker, she gained hands-on experience interviewing clients, writing legal documents and appearing in Court for clients facing criminal charges. Outside law school, Kendra volunteered as a mentor for new immigrants in rural communities. She provided new immigrants with advice and mentorship with respect to Canadian workplace culture and communication to help them develop workplace soft skills. Kendra also loves to support Calgary’s many theatres and serves as a volunteer at Calgary’s Vertigo Theatre.
Outside the Office
In her spare time, Kendra enjoys a good book, writing short stories and hiking.
