Coleman Brinker grew up in a rural community west of Edmonton before moving to the city for university. He first joined Field Law as a summer student in 2016 and returned as an articling student in 2019 after clerking with the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench.

During law school, Coleman also worked as a summer student for the Centre for Constitutional Studies, played rugby for the Golden Bearristers rugby team, and volunteered for one year with Student Legal Services of Edmonton.

Outside the Office

Many of Coleman’s interests outside the office stem from his outdoorsy upbringing and his previous work in forestry. He especially enjoys hiking, biking, running, and looking up random plant species he encounters in Edmonton’s river valley. He also maintains his interest in Olympic freestyle wrestling, a sport he competed in from elementary school until finishing his undergraduate degree.
