Chris Baker has been with Field Law since August 2006, working primarily with the Insurance and General Litigation practice groups. Chris specializes in large file management and document review, creating detailed chronologies and file summaries.
Chris has worked as a paralegal since 1991 and has a background in nearly all major areas of law. Her main focus at Field Law is on document analysis in medium and large sized litigation files.
Value to Clients
Clients appreciate the thoroughness of Chris's engagement with file records, and the fact that this time-consuming work is performed more cost-effectively at a paralegal rather than an associate or partner level. Lawyers use the materials Chris creates to draft pleadings and prepare for questioning, mediation, and/or trial. Chris also has extensive experience with document management software of various kinds, and, with client data being increasingly digital, has become expert in native file processing and analysis.
Outside the Office
Chris has an academic background in classics, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, First Class Honours, from the University of Victoria. She reads French and German, is an enthusiastic gardener and cook, and more recently an aspiring potter.
