Ariel Oostenbrink joined Field Law in 2012, working as a legal assistant to lawyers across a range of areas including labour and employment, professional regulatory, insurance, civil litigation, commercial tenancy and foreclosure and debt collection. In her role, Ariel gained experience in all levels of court in Alberta including the civil and criminal divisions of Provincial Court, the Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Alberta Court of Appeal, as well as the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal.

In 2017, Ariel moved into the role of paralegal in the Foreclosure and Debt Recovery Department and has done mortgage foreclosure and unsecured debt collection work for a national bank and other lenders.

Ariel has experience in foreclosure files from start to finish including preparation of correspondence and court documents; communication with the client, debtors, mortgage insurers, and property managers; and the submission of claims to mortgage insurers.

Outside the Office

In her free time Ariel enjoys reading, crafting, and travelling.
