Alma Cortez is a corporate paralegal in the Business Law Group. She focuses her time on commercial transactions, corporate work, partnerships, societies and not-for-profit entities.
Her paralegal training helps her work with all types of businesses in areas including company formation, responsibilities of shareholders and directors, types of shares and bonds, as well as preparing, reviewing, and registering federal and provincial incorporation.
As a former public-school teacher, Alma has the ability to multitask which allows her to efficiently meet the expectations of her clients in a timely manner. Her communication skills help her to explain complicated legal issues to her clients with confidence and integrity. Her background in research and technology allows her to provide an analytical point of view to assist her clients in the success of their business ventures.
