Field Law Receives Fourth Place Ranking in Canadian Lawyer Top Western & Northern Firms Survey
September 4, 2014
Field Law, a regional law firm with offices in Calgary, Edmonton and Yellowknife, is pleased to announce they have received a fourth place ranking in the annual Canadian Lawyer Top Western and Northern Firms Survey. This ranking reflects a significant leap over the past two years as Field Law moved from seventh to fourth place. The ranking places Field Law as the second primarily Alberta-based firm.
Every two years, Canadian Lawyer reaches out to lawyers and in-house counsel across Canada to vote on the top regional firms in Western and Northern Canada. Respondents are asked to rank the top 10 firms in the areas of regional service coverage, client base, notable mandates, service excellence, and legal expertise. To be considered in the vote, firms are required to have offices primarily in Alberta, British Columbia, and the territories, as well as offer a wide range of legal services. The final rankings are determined through a points system, in which firms are listed on a sliding scale from first to 10th place based on the number of votes received.
“It is a great honour to receive this recognition from our peers and in-house counsel across Canada,” comments James Casey, Managing Partner, Field Law. “I think this is a reflection of our flexible and strong team of lawyers. We continually adapt to the evolving needs of our clients while maintaining a high quality of service. We are truly humbled by this acknowledgement.”
Field Law has developed into a high performing business to contend with the challenges of today's tough and rapidly changing marketplace. By harnessing technology and focusing on professional excellence in legal and client services, Field Law is able to retain a loyal client base while continuously attracting new clientele and legal talent.
One survey respondent commented that Field provides “extremely good value for the fees paid,” while another was impressed by Field’s “level of personalized service and willingness to work as part of a larger team”.
