Yellowknife Welcomes New Field Law Office Manager
Field Law is excited to announce the addition of Kat Saunders, Office Manager, to the Yellowknife team, effective January 6, 2015. Kat brings a wide range of managerial experience from her work in both the public and non-profit sectors. Most recently, Kat acted as office manager and community program coordinator for the Kitikmeot Law Centre, a regional legal aid clinic run by the Nunavut Legal Services Board out of Cambridge Bay, NU. She also filled the role of acting executive director during her time at Kitikmeot, and oversaw four satellite locations in addition to the centre’s main office.
Kat offers a deep-rooted knowledge of organizational problem solving and is also well versed in the facilitation of departmental partnerships to improve company programming and processes. As a detail-oriented individual, she has had the opportunity to develop and improve office resources, including internal training programs, staff acquisition and retention strategies, and conflict resolution tactics.
“My focus as a manager has always been on the people I work with,” says Kat. “I look forward to supporting Field Law’s Yellowknife team and creating a foundation of trust and common understanding that will foster a positive, team-oriented work environment."...
