Roy has been a partner of the firm since 1977. His preferred areas of practice include wills, trusts, estate planning and administration, estate litigation and dispute resolution, and business law.

Roy is recognized by Lexpert as one of the leading lawyers across Canada in the area of Estate and Personal Tax Planning, and is also recognized by Best Lawyers in the area of Trusts and Estates. His extensive experience as a public speaker in the field of wills, trusts, estate planning and administration includes serving as a lecturer for eleven years for the Alberta Bar Admission Course, numerous continuing education courses presented by the Legal Education Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association, provincially and nationally, lecturing to various community, professional and business organizations; and participating in workshops for community groups, private organizations and businesses.
