One of the core values of our Firm is to give back to the communities in which we work and live. As a result Field Law supports many community initiatives.

Firm Commitments

Field Law contributes, as a firm, to many worthwhile initiatives every year.  Here is an example of some of our most recent commitments:

Calgary Artists for Haitian Relief

Field Law is the primary sponsor of this concert, bringing together Calgary artists to raise money towards rebuilding the Le Foyer de Filles Chretiennes Orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

All ticket sales will go directly to the charity.

Canadian Olympic Athletes
Field Law is a proud supporter of Anastasia Bucsis and her achievements in qualifying for the Canadian Olympic Team for speed skating. She will be competing in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. We wish her well.

United Way
Each year, Field Law's Edmonton and Calgary office commit one week to raising funds for the United Way in their respective cities. Field Law is very proud of its long-standing support of the United Way and the enthusiasm and commitment of all firm members from staff to partners.

University Hospital Foundation
Field Law is a proud supporter of the annual Festival of Trees Gala as and supports this event in it's major fundraising initiative for the University Hospital Foundation.

TEC Venture Prize
TEC Venture Prize is an Edmonton and area competition to support local entreprenuers. Since its first competition in 2002-2003, Field Law has been a platinum sponsor and contributed a total of $140,000. Lawyers from Field Law have also donated their time each year to present at the legal perspective portion of the Venture Prize seminar series which teaches the fundamentals of a business plan to competitors.

Calgary Foundation
Field Law sponsors an issue of the COG Newsletter produced by the Calgary Foundation.

Calgary Homeless Foundation
In 2008, Field Law was a Silver Saddle Sponsor for Calgary Homeless Foundation's Boots Boas n' Bingo fundraising event.

Little Warriors
Field Law helped get Little Warriors, a charity dedicated to helping educate the community and provide awareness of sexually abused children, get on its feet by donating the incorporation and trade mark legal work.

Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation
Don and Marina Ghermezian present the Snowflake Gala yearly in support of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation. Traditionally Field Law purchases a table at this event.

Edmonton Community Legal Clinic
Field Law entered into a long term pledge supporting the ECLC and it's iniatives.

March of Dimes Canada
Field Law sponsored and participated in the 2008 and 2009 Rock for Dimes charity event. The 'Fieldstones' took the stage both years to battle for the title of Calgary's best corporate band. In 2008 the Fieldstones found success and came in 1st place in the competition.

Alberta Insurance Hockey League
In support of our Insurance practice group and clients, Field Law was a platinum sponsor for the Alberta Association of Insurance Adjusters Annual Ice Ball.

Alberta Insurance Hockey League
Field Law was a proud sponsor of the 23rd Annual Old Fools Western Canadian Insurance Hockey Tournament on April 16-19, 2009.

Calgary Booster Club
Field Law was a proud sponsor of the Sportsmen of the year Banquet 2007, and is an annual attendee at the banquet.

Calgary Executive Association
Field Law was a proud sponsor of the International Executive Association Conference held in Calgary, Alberta in 2007.

Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank Society
During the grand opening celebration of the Lougheed Building in Calgary, we raised 34 pounds of mixed food for the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank.

Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation
Field Law traditionally sponsors a team of employees to particpate in the Dragon Boat Race Festival and put forward a team again in 2008.

Child Find
Field Law is a proud supporter of this community based publication dedicated to educating parents and locating missing children throughout Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

Christmas Bureau
Field Law provides a corporate donation and attends the Christmas Bureau Breakfast annually.

NHL Old Timers Hockey Challenge
Field Law was pleased to support the Calgary Police Service during their fight to victory over the NHL Old Timers in the 20th Anniversary Classic Tour.
