Specifically, Michael is being honored with the Distinguished Service to the Community award for his lifelong commitment to the City of Calgary, demonstrated by more than 35 years of volunteerism.

At the UofA, John received a Bachelor of Education with distinction. With his Education degree, John went to South Korea to teach English as a second language. After completing his contract in South Korea, John returned to the University of Alberta and received his Bachelor of Laws in 2010.

On the Immigration side, he advises small businesses and large corporations that wish to hire foreign personnel by obtaining temporary work permits, including applications under NAFTA and HRSDC labour market opinions.

Field Law is pleased to announce the addition of our new associate, Craig McMahon.Craig practices in the area of commercial litigation with a focus on debt recovery and restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency, security enforcement and tax disputes. Craig has experience acting for lenders, creditors and debtors as well as trustees and receivers. He assists his clients in bankruptcies, receiverships, foreclosures and debt collection. Craig has appeared at all levels of the Alberta Courts as well as the Federal Court of Canada and the Tax Court of Canada. Previously, Craig was counsel to the Canada Revenue Agency with an emphasis on tax collection and Crown priorities and a federal Crown prosecutor with a focus on tax evasion. Utilizing his tax experience, Craig represents clients in the tax dispute resolution process, including Canada Revenue Agency audits and objections, and Tax Court of Canada appeals.
