Emily Smeaton is a lawyer in our Edmonton office with a focus on insurance law and general litigation. She has represented clients at tribunals, as well as the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, and the British Columbia Court of Appeal.

Emily enjoys a good puzzle, which is why she likes working with legal challenges or interesting issues to determine how a court will apply the rules. She enjoys working with people and getting to find solutions that work for all parties, but most importantly, a solution that works for her client. 

She is personable with a keen attention to detail, and she is extremely organized.

Emily is a board game enthusiast and enjoys travel, playing fantasy hockey, and hanging with her dog, Artemis.
