Right-Touch Regulation: What Does It Mean + How Can Professional Regulatory Organizations Apply It?
Roundtable

Join Field Law’s Professional Regulatory Group and your professional regulatory colleagues for our fall roundtable.

The concept of “right-touch regulation” was developed in 2010, and remains relevant today in establishing the foundational principles of good regulation. Right-touch regulation involves a proper assessment of risk, and the implementation of regulatory action that is proportionate to the risk.

We will first provide a refresher on these foundational principles. Using a number of scenarios in different regulatory areas, we will then facilitate a discussion so that participants will have an opportunity to reflect on how to apply the principles of right touch regulation in their work.

Who should attend? All staff from professional regulatory organizations who work in the area of professional regulation will benefit from this round table.

Space is limited so please register early to avoid disappointment. Due to space constraints each organization will be limited to a maximum of two participants.

Date: Thursday, September 14
